Soup Linocut Print 4"x6"
$15.00
Unframed relief print of my original work, “Soup” depicting a big spoon and a hearty bowl of alphabet soup spelling out a kind missive. All prints from this edition come signed.
These prints were lovingly hand-carved out of linoleum and printed with rich black or deep tomato red oil-based ink onto 6”x4” natural lokta paper with a traditional torn edge. Lokta paper is a delicate looking (yet surprisingly strong!) handmade paper from Nepal. It is made of the inner bark of the daphne bush found at high elevations in the Himalayas and neighboring mountain ranges. The shrubs regrow this bark, making Lokta paper a sustainable resource!
Due to the process of printing linoleum blocks, each piece may contain minor variation. This adds to the charm of relief printing - each piece is unique.
